Аннотация

On the materials of the newspapers and magazines "Priirtyshskaya Pravda", "Znamyatruda", "Nashekhozyaistvo" and "Stepnayapravda" the authors have studied the specifics of the construction of new industrial enterprises and transport communications during the first five-year periods in Semipalatinsk. Considerable attention is paid to the construction in Semipalatinsk city of meat cannery, which was one of the largest enterprises of the food industry of the country. The authors have revealed the role of local newspapers in covering the policy of party and Soviet bodies in the development of industry in the region.
