Abstract

The symbolism of the white colour as a characteristic of the nature and man’s state is considered in this article. White
colour is transformed from colour of life to the colour of death. The author of the story makes a start from old Russian understanding
of the moral-ethical categories, i.e. kindness, evilness, sick, happiness and health. Meanwhile, it ispointed out that this work was
ablank in the field of literature.
