Abstract

This article describes the process of growth and development of a child who goes through different age periods, each of
which is characterized by certain morphophysiological features. Real deviations in growth and development in children with
disorders of the musculoskeletal system in comparison with the norm in different age periods are shown. The most objective integral and visually accessible characteristics of the harmony of growth and development of the child are such indicators as length and body weight. Body length characterizes the growth processes, the mass of the body gives an idea about the development of bone-muscular apparatus, the subcutaneous fat of the internal organs. That is, the dynamics of the length and weight of the child's body allows to assess the compliance with age, the degree of synchronization of growth and functional formation of the child's body
