Нistory of the study of the industrial and metallurgical complex of Alat (the Late Bronze Age)

Abstract

Within the framework of this article, the history of studying the Alat industrial and metallurgical complex, which
belongs to the Late Bronze Age, is considered. Systematic studies on the monument revealed a developed metallurgical
production, which is confirmed by the presence of bronze casting furnaces, numerous metal products, by-products of smelting
(slags, ore, etc.). In 2016, a unique for Kazakhstan iron-smelting furnace was discovered. It allows to state the transition to
iron smelting since the 13th century BC. This fact is supported by a series of radiocarbon AMS-dates
