Using Agisoft PhotoScan and an unmanned aerial vehicle to improve traffic management

Abstract

We presented results of use of an unmanned aerial vehicle and AgisoftPhotoScan software received by
the example of a specific cross-road. The results suggest the following: firstly, it is possible to significantly
reduce time needed to conduct field inspection of the object under study; secondly, fixation accuracy could
be improved; thirdly, the approach allows substantiating actual facts and circumstances including motion
paths of vehicles and coordinates of the points of conflict, which are required to develop recommendations
for improvement of the traffic management process. The inspection results obtained according to this method
could be used for 3D-modeling
