Abstract

Let us first consider environmental conflicts as a social phenomenon, a certain reality that defines the need for legal
regulation and serves as the object of law, and on this basis some issues related to the optimization of the legal regulation of
environmental conflicts. In this case, the information obtained by studying various aspects of the mechanism of action of
environmental law, environmentally significant human behavior and the causes of environmental violations in various areas
of environmental protection and rational use of natural resources will be used. In modern conditions, this constant property
of environmental behavior is exacerbated by the fact that, according to many experts, humanity lives in debt to nature, since
the level of consumption of natural resources exceeds the ability of nature to replenish, restore, reproduce it. Environmental
conflicts are an extremely complex and multilateral component of the history of mankind. They are extremely important for
the existence of people as a biological species and social community, and at the same time, they are underestimated, squeezed
into the background of social consciousness.
