Written translation as a means of teaching a foreign language in secondary vocational education

The article deals with the characteristics of translation of foreign language texts into the native
language and describes its types and features. The author pays special attention to teaching translation in secondary schools
and notes that they cause problems not only during the teaching process, but also during the self-study process. It is concluded
that teaching translation is an important part of learning a foreign language, as it activates a variety of skills and also contributes
to the formation of key competences
