On some problems of the use of videoconferencing in criminal proceedings in Russia

Abstract

The authors analyze the possibilities and problems of using videoconferencing in criminal proceedings in order to optimize procedural activities. Particular attention is paid to the use of videoconferencing technology when considering a criminal case in court, including for questioning the victim and witness. The problems of technical and tactical use of videoconferencing in criminal proceedings are investigated.
