Abstract

The empirical evidence of the pre-trial investigation of mass riots makes it possible to further carry out a forensic prevention of this type of criminal offense. The strategic objective of the pre-trial investigation is to establish the involvement of persons who participated in pogroms and looting. During the implementation of the pre-trial investigation algorithm, complex forensic tactical operations are implemented.

The article reveals an exemplary forensic theoretical model of pre-trial investigation of mass riots based on the media coverage of the tragic events of January 2022 that occurred in Almaty and covered all regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Brief forensic recommendations on the pre-trial investigation of mass riots will allow arming the investigative apparatus of internal affairs bodies, national security bodies and the procedural prosecutor for timely disclosure and pre-trial investigation of this type of socially dangerous act.
