Professional competencies of students in modern pedagogical science: the concept and problems of formation

Abstract

The processes taking place in society always have a significant impact on education. Long discussions related to the global crisis in education in the 1960s and 70s led to a transition from an education paradigm centered on the transmission of knowledge to the need to create conditions for the development of personal and professional competencies of students that determine the features of the formation of knowledge in various fields, including subject biological knowledge of students of a medical educational institution. The method of formation of professional competencies of students in modern pedagogical science, proposed in the framework of the study, allows to increase the time for consideration of particular issues in the study of the subject, strengthening the practice-oriented orientation of specialist training and contributing to the formation of subject competence among students.
