Abstract

This article explores the role and significance of value theory in philosophy. It examines the impact of values on human worldview, spiritual development, and social life. The historical evolution and cultural conditioning of values are analyzed. New interpretations of values are presented within the frameworks of existential axiology, subjectivism, phenomenology, and hermeneutics. The study highlights the necessity of reassessing values in the context of the current crisis of humanistic ideals and the rise of technocratic influence. An integrative approach combining philosophy, sociology, cultural studies, and psychology are employed.
