Features of non-cooperative speech behavior of characters in the stories of V.M. Shukshina

Abstract

The article analyzes the non-cooperative speech behavior of the characters of V. M. Shukshin’s stories. The
basis, motives, moral and value paradigms of the characters involved in the non-cooperative communication are
unfolded on the material of the two stories as well as the characters’ originality is revealed. The authors consider the
speech tactics and linguistic means that actualize the speech dominance and enhance conflict in specific communicative
situations.
