The article describes the main stages of development of judicial control over pre-trial investigation in the
Republic of Kazakhstan. The authors propose to expand the stages of development of judicial control by allocating an
independent period of development-from 2014 to the present. It is noted that at the present stage of development of
judicial control over the pre-trial investigation in law enforcement practice, there are still problems that require
legislative resolution.
