Abstract

In the article the authors consider the social role of family education in the formation of personal characteristics of
primary school students. The family is the smallest image of human society. In society, the family performs two functions, one
of which is the birth of a generation, the other is the formation of a personality that ensures the physical development of the
born child.
Family education is inextricably linked to changes in society, so it should serve the interests of society. The family is the
social environment that develops the first personality. In the family, there are many conditions that contribute to the personal
qualities of the child. For example, the cultural level of family members has a positive effect on the child's assimilation of
various social values.
All-round development of opportunities of children in a family has to bring up ability to work in use of its life, to be
psychologically prepared for performance of any type of work, constantly to improve the knowledge in preparation for
creative activity. Of great importance is the education of skills, independence, humanism for the benefit of the individual and
the combination of collective benefits
