Abstract

Preschool education is the first stage of education. The goals and objectives of preschool education are based on
the goals determined by the state policy in the field of education. This will form the basis for establishing continuity
between preschool and primary school. A manifestation of continuity is the establishment of a connection between the
goals, content, forms and methods of upbringing and teaching children in kindergarten and primary school. In elementary school, there is a further expansion and deepening of children's knowledge in various areas of reality,
theoretical comprehension of knowledge, the formation of scientific ideas. It begins with the implementation of the
content of the educational directions of the preschool education program, the development of the subject areas of a
scientifically based primary education program. The article provides recommendations on the importance of continuity
in preschool and primary education and on how to implement continuity in the methods and forms of the educational
process.
