The relevance of the research problem lies in the fact that at this stage of the development of society, the
requirements for the quality of education, graduates have increased, as a result of which training technologies are
radically updated, the organizational and economic conditions of the activities of educational institutions are changing,
the competition in the educational services market is intensifying.
The purpose of the article is to theoretically analyze the features of the implementation of risk management in
higher education institutions in the context of post-coronavirus development of society. On the basis of the analyzed
scientific publications, the possibility of introducing risk management in higher education has been substantiated.
Analyzed theoretical developments in this direction, both in the domestic and foreign scientific community. The
grounds for the development of a risk management model for educational institutions have been determined: the need to
introduce innovative technologies into the educational process as a result of pandemic restrictions, the presence of
global competition and unlimited space for development, as well as the constantly growing demands of consumers of
educational services and stakeholders. After analyzing the existing developments and taking into account the specifics
of the functioning of higher educational institutions, the stages of risk management are highlighted.
We consider the element-wise development of a risk management model for higher education institutions and
recommendations for its implementation as prospects for further research.
