Abstract

The article analyzes the degree of study of the problem of women in Kazakhstan during the Second World War in Soviet and modern Kazakh historical science. It seems that the presented historiographical material represents a wide layer: Soviet historiography, Modern Kazakh historiography and foreign historiography are considered. Comparing the above-mentioned historiographical periods, the authors note that gender studies in the Soviet period were not widely popular in the USSR. At the present stage, when there is an entire scientific direction on the history of the daily life of women in the army and the rear, significant changes are taking place. However, the authors suggest that the history of women's participation in the war is still a little-studied aspect in general historiography and that scientific research should be conducted in this direction. The researchers note that the Second World War had an impact on women's work in socio-political and even domestic terms, arguing that the interest was constant.
