Abstract

The article indicates that grape seed extract is the main source of polyphenols. Polyphenol prevents the occurrence of diseases such as hypertension and cardiovascular diseases. Research results have shown the antioxidant and antimicrobial effects of grape seed extract. This property is explained by the presence in grape seed extract of substances such as polyphenols, tannins, flavonoids and anthocyanins. Various authors have extensively reviewed the properties of grape seed extract.
