Abstract

The functions of the state are the main directions of its internal and external activities, which reflect and specify the universal essence and social purpose of the state. As the state performs many different functions, they need to be classified from a scientific point of view. In terms of content, the performance of the main functions of the state is a continuous process of implementing many additional state functions and functions of individual state bodies.

               The functions and tasks of the state are closely interrelated, and in the course of the historical development of the state, its functions also change, but in all cases their emergence is related to the economic and social structure of society in a particular historical period, the essence of the state and its social purpose. When considering the functions of the state, it is necessary to take into account its belonging to a certain socio-economic system, these issues must be correlated with the fundamental work being carried out.
